Beginning 18 May 2014, Museum Ritter will be presenting a special exhibition throughout the entire building featuring current approaches to geometrical art.
On show will be works by young artists, and those still young in heart, who are represented in the Marli Hoppe-Ritter Collection, and whose works will each receive one room in the Museum. Apart from pieces from the resident collection, a good number of loans will be one view, along with installations created specially for the exhibition. The presentation gives telling insights into the current work of the participating artists. At the same time it underlines how different and original the artists are in their uses of the geometrical grammar of forms. Thus apart from paintings, visitors will find constructive sculptures, light objects and installations, kinetic works, and new approaches to drawing and conceptual art.
